The book was dug out by Zombietime. There is a great essay posted on the site. For those of you interested in the strong Obama-Ayers tie, this is must reading. Whether drive-by media will pick up on the remains to be seen.
There are interesting passages that talk about the goal of the Weather Underground to replace capitalism with socialism, especially in light of recent comments of “spreading the wealth around”:
Socialism is the complete opposite of capitalism/imperialism. It is the rejection of empire and white supremacy. Socialism is the violent overthrow of the bourgeoisie, the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and the eradication of the social system based on profit. Socialism means control of the productive forces for the good of the whole community instead of the few who live on the hilltops and in mansions.
